Picturing the Community - pt 2
October 5, 2007 – 5:35 pmWe took an early pass at drawing the community in the post, Picturing the Community. Many thanks to Christine Martell for taking another pass at commenting on and revising a picture of the community on her blog. Be sure to check her blog for commentary, but here’s her picture:

It’s great that she puts story at the center of the visual. It’s the one consistent message from eveybody we’ve talked to…sponsors, facilitators, bloggers, attendees…everybody, regardless of the approach, talks about storytelling. In fact, it may be that storytelling ties the community more closely together than even visualization does. It’s also reminscient of the dials with multiple wheels that when positioned correctly, reveal different information depending on the combination, sort of like this:

Just another thought. What do you all think? Are there other versions? What should be added? changed? Is there another way to view it? If you have a blog, post your ideas and add a link to the comments here. Or, if you don’t have a blog just post them directly to the comments here. We’d love to hear your feedback!
Thanks for continuing the conversation Christine!
