Exciting New Pre-Conference Sessions Added to the Agenda

facdavegray.JPG We’re excited to announce that both Dave Gray & Karl Gude will be running pre-conference workshops at VizThink ‘08 in San Francisco!  Both of these sessions promise to very hands on and active.  Space is very limited in both of these sessions so be sure to register now. Infographics Workshop 
Saturday, January 26, 2008

8:00am - Registration
9:00am - Welcome & Introductions
9:15am - Fundamentals of producing information graphics from conceptualization to completion. Design, typography and color will be explored.
10:00am - Quick project: fixing a broken graphic, followed by a discussion of the work.
11:00am - Break
11:15am - Maps and charts
11:45am - Introduction of project. Working in teams of two, participants will report, design and conceptualize a breaking news story using paper, pens and color pencils.
1:00pm - Lunch
2:15pm - Work on project
5:00pm - Quit for the day

9:00am - Interesting ways that Newsweek creates infographics
10:00am - Finish project
11:00am - Discussion and critique of projects.
1:00pm - Lunch
2:15pm - Treasure hunt project!
4:15pm - Quit for the day
