What is Visual Thinking?
December 24, 2007 – 5:04 pmIn the about section of The Next Meeting blog, written by Thomas Sechehaye, it says:
“Communication is not a meassage sent - it is a message received. Making meeting engaging with visual process patterns reduces time and head ache, teams make faster decisions. And you can focus on what is important…being productive.”
In the last section of his recent post, What is Visual Thinking?, he does a great job of giving some simple, practical examples of visual thinking in action. Some of the examples his details are:
Curriculum design
Room peripherals
Note taking
Study tools
Presentation aids
Course map
Learning review
Knowledge assessment
Job aids
Long range planning
Brainstorming
There are many more that we each could come up with, but what I like about the list is that it show a mix of using visualization for both process and the finished product. This blog post would be a great place to start for any one in learing looking for ways to integrate visual thinking into their learning development and modules.
