Dave Gray to Facilitate at VizThink Europe, Toronto Workshop, and VizThink Toronto
July 21, 2008 – 12:45 pmWe’re happy to announce Dave Gray’s involvement once again with VizThink. As many of you know from the Story of VizThink, Dave was instrumental in getting the idea of VizThink off the ground. Much of our success is due to his ongoing support, and today’s announcements are a great representation of that.
For those of you who don’t know Dave, he is the Founder and Chairman of XPLANE, a global consulting and design firm devoted to working with the world’s leading corporations to turn complex business issues into visual stories. Dave helps his clients apply visual thinking and visual language to business strategy and communication. Prior to founding XPLANE, Dave worked as a visual journalist for several major metropolitan newspapers, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, LA Daily News, LA Herald-Examiner, and Seattle Post-Intelligencer, where he won numerous awards for excellence in graphic journalism. He has also taught Visual Communication for both the Design and Business schools at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dave has a passion for rich, clear and engaging communication. He believes that pictures have the power to transform the world, because they can convey rich information to anyone, regardless of culture, language or educational background.

VizThink Europe ‘08
First, we’re very excited that Dave will be one of our facilitators at VizThink Europe ‘08. He will be facilitating two sessions at this event. First, he’ll be running a 4-hour, Visual Thinking Skills workshop. The spaces for this session are very limited (only 25 people) and it’s already starting to fill up. So, be sure to register today in order to reserve your space. In addition, he’ll be facilitating one of the breakout sessions during the conference.

Finally, Dave will be facilitating for the 7th meeting of VizThink Toronto. In some ways, this is a back-to-the-future event.
